This role focuses<br>on waste management systems, safety training, compliance with environmental regulations,<br>strategic planning and execution of waste management processes, focusing on the sale of scrap<br>materials, vendor negotiations, and maximizing profit generation from waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:21px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. Scrap and Waste Inventory Management<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Manage inventory of all scrap materials generated from the plant, ensuring accurate tracking, classification, and storage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Implement efficient inventory control systems to monitor waste generation and disposal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform regular audits of waste inventory and identify areas for improvement in resource utilization<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. Vendor Discovery and Management<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Identify and onboard new vendors to enhance competition and maximize scrap sale revenue.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Negotiate contracts with vendors, ensuring favourable terms and timely scrap lifting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop long-term vendor relationships that support strategic business goals, compliance, and cost reduction<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3. Revenue Optimization<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Explore innovative ways to maximize revenue from waste by identifying new markets, improving scrap segregation, and ensuring efficient sales processes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate with the finance team to develop and track revenue forecasts from scrap sales.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Evaluate market trends for scrap pricing and recommend strategies to capitalize on price fluctuations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4. Contracting and Compliance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Oversee the legal and contractual aspects of vendor agreements, ensuring adherence to environmental regulations and company policies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure all scrap management activities are compliant with environmental laws and internal standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate with the legal and finance departments for proper contracting, reporting, and compliance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5. Waste Reduction &amp; Management<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly waste generation, aiming to minimize wastage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Analyse waste generation patterns and propose improvements to reduce overall waste.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Implement mass balancing techniques to track waste flow and optimize waste reduction strategies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Regularly review operational processes to minimize wastage and improve profitability from scrap.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>6. Reporting &amp; Analysis<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prepare monthly reports, providing vendor and scrap-wise breakdowns and comparisons.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform mass balancing and work toward continuous waste reduction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>7.  Team Development &amp; Training<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lead a team responsible for scrap handling, inventory management, and vendor coordination<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Guide the team toward process improvements, using methods like 5S, Why-Why Analysis, Fishbone diagrams, TPM, TQM, and Lean Manufacturing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct training sessions to ensure safety and efficiency in scrap handling.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate with cross-functional teams including supply chain, finance, and operations to achieve organizational objectives<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>8.
